Low carbon ferrochrome
Ferrochrome refined down to a fraction of the carbon, for steels where carbon would harm corrosion resistance or weldability. It costs more than the high carbon grade and is bought where the specification demands it.
- Grade / purity
- Cr 60 to 70%, C 0.03 to 0.10%
Applications
Manufacturing precision tool steels and high-strength alloy steels
Oil, gas and petrochemical industries
